Former India skipper Virat Kohli has become the fastest player to score 13000 ODI. He batted in only his second game in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. In a Group A game against Pakistan more than a week ago, Kohli failed to score big runs. Against Nepal, the right-hander didn't get to bat. However, in the game, the Men In Blue were asked to bat first.

They had a great start as skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill put together 121 runs for the first wicket. However, as they both got, the team was reduced to 126/2. At this stage, Kohli and KL Rahul joined each other and started building the innings. However, after 24.1 overs, the rain arrived and ensured that the game was shifted to the reserve day.
