Pakistan’s loss in the 2023 Asia Cup against Sri Lanka led to a lot of rumors. The fans speculated about a rift between Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi as a rumored dressing room spread out on social media. In the viral report, there were claims that not everything was right between the two heavyweights of Pakistani cricket. The news became viral on the internet. 

The fans started doubting if everything was good between the two cricketers. The reports stated that Babar blamed his teammates for not performing well in the match against Sri Lanka. Further, there were claims that Afridi was not happy with the accusations of the captain, which led to a harsh reply from Afridi. The reports suggested a rift between the two Pakistani cricketers. 

The reports also claimed that Mohammad Rizwan intermediated and calmed down the things between the two cricketers. Since then, the fans of Pakistan cricket have been restless. There were questions regarding the well-being of the two cricketers. Looks like the Pakistani pacer wanted to end the rumors for good. Shaheen took to twitter and addressed the matter. 

Shaheen Afridi's tweet shuts down rumors of rift with Babar Azam

On his twitter account, the left-arm pacer posted a representational image of him playing chess with his captain Azam. The Pakistani cricketer wrote “Family” along with the image. It was written to reply to the rumors. The Pakistani pacer pushed away all the rumors of the rift between him and Azam. The tweet of Afridi confirmed that everything is fine with him and Babar. The fans are enjoying the tweet of Afridi. 

Pakistan is set to tour India for the 2023 ODI World Cup. The former World Champions are set to miss the services of one of their key bowlers, Naseem Shah. The young pacer had a shoulder injury while bowling against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup 2023. The pain resurfaced after Shah bowled against India. During the reserve day, Shah did not complete his full quota of overs. Following it, Zaman Khan was called as a replacement.
