The 60th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday, May 15 in which the Faf du Plessis-led team thrashed RR by 112 runs and also boosted their net run rate which might help them to qualify for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, RCB posted a video on social media in which former Indian captain Virat Kohli is seen having a fun time with his teammates after the victory in the dressing room. In the video, Kohli said that if he had bowled, they would have been all out for 40. It is unknown whether Kohli was being sarcastic or he was serious, however, fans took no time to react and came up with hilarious tweets.

A breathtaking all-round performance by RCB
Talking about the match, RCB won the toss and elected to bat first. With the help of Glenn Maxwell’s quick half-century and Anuj Rawat’s cameo in the last over, RCB achieved a fighting total of 171 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Skipper du Plessis also smashed a fifty but it took 44 deliveries, on the other hand, Maxwell scored 54 runs off just 33 balls which included 5 fours and 3 sixes.
Chasing the target, RR suffered a considerable blow when Mohammed Siraj picked the huge wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the very first over of the second innings. Then Wayne Parnell came onto the scene and took 3 wickets in three overs which included Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and Joe Root who got to bat for the first time in IPL. RR had depended on their top order but it didn't score much today.
Shimron Hetmyer was trying well as he swung hard and got a quick-fire 35. But that was miles away from what was needed. Last five games RR have lost four of them which are enough to make them out of the playoff race, on the other hand, RCB are very much alive in this tournament with 12 points in 12 matches.
