The much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off in October. The first match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, where the two finalists from the last edition, England and New Zealand will lock horns with each other. The venues for the knockout games and semi-final have been announced. The final is set to be hosted by Ahmedabadโ€™s Narendra Modi Stadium.

The Men in Blueโ€™s opening game of the mega event will be against Australia at MA. Chidambaram, in Chennai on October 8. One of the biggest fixtures of the tournament will be played between India and Pakistan. Earlier, the game was set to be played on October 15, but now the game has been preponed to October 14 due to the start of the auspicious festival of Navratri.

The Indian Cricket Board chief selector, Ajit Agarkar along with skipper, Rohit Sharma announced the squad for the upcoming mega event in the press conference which took place in Sri Lanka. The 15-member squad is the same as the squad that was selected for Asia Cup 2023. Only two members have been excluded from the team, Tilak Varma, and a seamer from Karnataka, Prasidh Krishna.
