Suryakumar Yadav is currently the No.1 T20I batter. Team India skipper is one of the finest in the shortest format of the game. His range of shots is just amazing to watch in the game of cricket. The 32-year-old scored a fifty in the 2nd T20I against South Africa at St.George's Park in Gqeberha, which has led him to extend the gap between the first and second positions of the Men's T20I ranking. SKY played an innings of 56 runs in the 2nd T20I against the Proteas though it came in a losing cause.

The skipper has amassed 865 rating points. Thus, he has drawn a hefty lead over his T20I companions. Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan is second in the list with 787 rating points and South Africa's Aiden Markram on third with 758 in the batter rankings. Suryakumar has sparked the turnaround by dominating the men's T20I rankings less than six months out from the beginning of the  T20 World Cup. The India batter sealed the top spot in the ICC rankings during the previous edition of the T20 World Cup hosted by Australia.

SKY became the second fastest batter to reach 2000 runs in T20I in 56 innings. The Men in Blue is currently touring South Africa for 3 ODIs, 2 Tests, and 3 T20Is. The final and third T20I is set to be played on Thursday, at the Wanderers Stadium, Johanessburg.

SKY hopeful to win 3rd T20I

India lost the match by five wickets in the 2nd T20I and they would love to change things around in the third T20I and level the series as well.

After the match SKY said, "At the halfway stage, I thought it was a par score but they batted beautifully in the first 5-6 overs and took the game away from us. It was the brand of cricket we were talking about, just go out and express ourselves. It was tough with the wet ball, but we would face similar situations in the future and it's a good learning for us. Looking forward to the third T20I."
