Virat Kohli had a fantastic start to 2023 as he scored two centuries in the three-match home ODI series against Sri Lanka. Fans went crazy as the former India skipper scored his 45th and 46th ODI ton. Now, he is only four centuries away to break the record of Sachin Tendulkar of scoring the most number of ODI centuries (49).

However, after the last ton in the third and last match, one Pakistani journalist, named Farid Khan came up with a tweet to mock Virat Kohli. He tried to establish that Kohli always scores hundreds when there is no pressure from the team's perspective. In reply to that, star Pakistan cricketer, Shoaib Maqsood came up with a tweet to shut him down.

Here are the shared tweets:

Virat Kohli is currently the fifth-highest run-scorer in the history of ODIs

Speaking of the tweets, Farid Khan wrote: “Virat Kohli is at his best when there's no pressure, series not on the line and conditions great for batting. There's no harm in gaining confidence and form in such matches, India need him to perform well in Test cricket with Australia coming over too tho. #INDvSL”

In reply, Shoaib Maqsood wrote: “Are you sure he is only best when there is no pressure grow up yar two wrongs dont make one right.” Then, the journalist wrote: “Sohaib bhai, for a player to regain confidence nothing helps more than favourable conditions. He had a lean patch but he needed a match against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup when India were not in the tournament and then against Bangladesh when they had lost the series already.”

Then, Maqsood wrote: “When he wasnt getting runs he wasnt even getting on these roads tell me the country or pitches where he hasnt scored centuries???if they troll baber we all know how bigger player is baber ignore that.” Then, Farid Khan concluded: “Obviously, there's no comparison to the pre-2020 Kohli, you don't become 'Player of the Decade' for nothing. Just Test cricket is the format he needs to regain his form in now and hopefully he'll do that too. Also, Babar is our pride, Sohaib bhai. We all love him.” However, Virat Kohli will be in action again in the upcoming hme ODI series against the Kiwis. Currently, Kohli is the fifth-highest run-scorer in the history of ODIs.
