England’s fast bowler Stuart Broad welcomed his first child with fiancé and The Saturdays star Mollie King. The couple announced the news with a joint post on Instagram which showed Mollie cradling the baby girl dressed in a White Fluffy Onesie and another of Broad kissing her face while holding her.

They also revealed the newborn’s name, writing: “Welcome to the world Annabella Broad. We have never been so in love.” The caption read their Instagram post. Broad and King announced that they got engaged in January 2021 and are dating since 2012.

Broad opts out of upcoming series Test series against Pakistan

The 36-year-old wants to spend quality time with his family and took a break from Test cricket. The right-arm pacer decided to skip England’s upcoming Test tour of Pakistan which will be starting on December 1 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

Mark Wood will be seen playing in the place of Stuart Broad. Meanwhile, England will play a practice match against England Lions before the tour. England’s star all-rounder and Test skipper Ben Stokes is reportedly suffering from a knee injury and will miss the practice match. Ollie Pope will be leading the team in the absence of Stokes.

Speedster Jofra Archer will also be seen playing in the practice match as the 27-year-old will play for the England Lions. Archer did not play a single game in England's jersey for more than 18 months. England will look to win the series on Pakistani soil. It will also help them to improve their rankings in the World Test Championship 2021-23.
