The 16th season of the Indian T20 League began yesterday and defending champions Gujarat continued from where they left off last season as they beat four-time champions Chennai at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

In the video posted by the Bangalore franchise, Chhetri was seen taking great catches during the fielding drill and some of the catches even surprised the players as well as the staff. Chhetri interacted with Harshal Patel, former Team India batting coach Sanjay Bangar, and former Team India captain Virat Kohli.

Why was Sunil Chhetri a part of the Bangalore training ahead of their first game?

Sunil Chhetri, the captain of the Indian football team, was in Bangalore for a few brand endorsements and most definitely did not want to pass up the opportunity to watch Bangalore practice.

Meanwhile, at the 'Let There Be Sport' Conclave, hosted by the sportswear company PUMA India, Kohli and Chhetri came together for the very first time on one stage. The distinguished group expressed the increasing need for sports and fitness to be prioritised at the general population level and integrated into the fundamental lessons of educational institutions for the growth of the nation.

Bangalore is going to play Mumbai at the M Chinnaswamy on April 2nd. This would be their first game of the Indian T20 League season and they would be looking to earn their first points of the season in the first game at home in four years.
