Not too much time is remaining for the commencement of the much-awaited World Test Championship Final, and ahead of that, both Indian and Australian captains, Rohit Sharma and Pat Cummins posed for photos with the Test mace at the London Oval. Both teams were last seen against each other in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy where the Men in Blue won the series by 2–1.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper, Rohit expressed his desire to win a major title as the Test Championship Final is scheduled to begin on June 7 at the Oval. Rohit further added and said that he wants to take this Indian team to 1 or 2 major titles in the future. 

"Test cricket is the ultimate format, the most challenging format and it will mean everything for us to win it. I want to take this Indian team forward and win 1-2 major titles," Rohit was quoted as saying by India Today.

Rohit also talked about the pitch and what would be their plan during the match. The 36-year-old also credited all the players for their consistent performance and aimed to play with the same approach for the next two years in order to win multiple major titles. However, Rohit is not in good form for the past few months but he needs to get his form back during the Test Championship final as he will be a key player for India’s victory.

"Pitch and conditions keep changing. The message for all the boys is that they should be ready. We will see tomorrow and will decide who will play. Overall, if you look at the consistent cricket that we played, we displayed good cricket all around. It's a very tough tournament. We've got to play consistent cricket throughout a couple of years to get here. You need all the departments to do well for you. And I thought our strength really has been all three departments."
