Temba Bavuma issues clarification on viral image of him sleeping during ODI World Cup 2023 captain's meet

South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma was presumed to have fallen asleep during the ODI World Cup 2023 captain's meet early in the day. During the event, skippers of all 10 participating first spoke to World Cup winners and broadcasters, Ravi Shastri and Eoin Morgan. After this, the captain spoke to the guests and media. Meanwhile, Bavuma, who was sitting alongside Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka and New Zealand's Kane Williamson, was presumed to have fallen asleep.

A lot of memes were made on his proclaimed nap during the event. However, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape player in the SA20 took to Twitter to quash the rumors. He said that the camera angles are to be blamed for the incident.
