'There's zero value of the staff' - Former Indian cricketer takes huge dig on Delhi Capitals for their embarrassing run in IPL 2023 so far

Delhi Capitals (DC) clashed against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday afternoon at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. DC are sitting at the bottom of the points table as they have lost their first four games in IPL 2023. Despite having big names in their team like David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Anrich Nortje, Axar Patel, and many more, the team is failed to find their best combination yet.

DC also have a great coaching staff which consists of former legendary cricketers like Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly but they also seemed helpless after watching DC's performance. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag took a huge dig at DC as he said that there is zero value of the coaching staff as players have failed to perform in the league so far.

“To be honest with you, there's zero value of the staff that's present there. It doesn't matter how strong your team is, it's the players who are performing badly out there. You can have as many great minds as you like in the dressing room, if your players aren't scoring runs or taking wickets, what they will do?” Sehwag said on Cricbuzz.

Sehwag also mentioned that a team need those players who can win the match for the team and DC have them but they are not scoring runs and the main bowlers are not taking wickets. He also added that a team can make many strategies but the players also have to execute them to see the results.

“I will never understand that. You have to pick players who can win you matches, and you don't have to direct them every time. When you have those players, you can become champions. Delhi do have those players, but they're not scoring runs or taking wickets. You can make strategies, in the end, those who enter the ground have to perform,” the former opener further added.
