The India vs. Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2023 heats up the cricketing world with some fiery things. Starting with Shaheen Afridi's amazing spell to Haris Rauf's special send-off to Ishan Kishan, things were heated both on and off the field. However, rain played spoilsport, and the match got washed out at Pallekele on Saturday.

However, a social media trend is currently triggering a war of words among fans, brands, and former cricketers on Twitter. Things started when former Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took a dig at India skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. As they were dismissed by Shaheen, the former PM praised Pakistani pacers and started a Twitter trend. Sharif quoted a tweet about Shaheen and said, "They can't play him".

His post started drawing attention from both countries as fans and former cricketers started mocking each other. Former Pakistan cricketer Wahab Riyaz also joined the queue by posting the same. In response, Indian startup and food delivery giant Swiggy posted a cryptic tweet. Swiggy compared Shaheen to a chair as Jasprit Bumrah smacked boundaries against him.

India might face Pakistan in the Asia Cup once again

As Pakistan has qualified for the Super 4 of the tournament, the Indian team might face them again. If India wins or draws their last group game against Nepal on Monday, they will be through to the next round. If this happens, then India will face Pakistan on September 10 in Colombo. It's worth noting that India will face Nepal at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on September 4.

Meanwhile, fans might be left disappointed once again as there are 60% chance of rain throughout the day. According to the latest weather reports, India's final group game will be affected due to rain, which has up to 66% chance during the match time. However, if the match gets washed out, India will qualify for the Super Four of the tournament.
