The cash-rich-league is one of the main criteria to get selected for the Indian cricket team. Many youngsters who have performed well in the league have got a chance to play for India. But it has not been the same for a few players.

It is a dream of every player playing professional cricket to represent their nation. Though, it has not been easy for some of the players to get into the national team even after performing well in the Indian T20 League. We are going to talk about five Indian T20 League stars who never got the chance to play for the Indian Team:

1. Rajat Bhatia

Bhatia is a genuine all-rounder who ran out of luck. With a decent batting ability and steady medium-pace bowling, Bhatia has performed really well for the franchises he has played for. Bhatia has played for Rajasthan, Kolkata, Delhi, and Pune Franchise.

The 43-years-old has taken 61 wickets with a good economy of 7.47 in 87 matches, he also has done pretty well with the bat by scoring 334 runs at a strike rate of 125.56.

2. Pravin Tambe

Tambe is a leg-spinner who made his Indian T20 League debut at the age of 41. Tambe made the headlines after becoming the oldest player to debut in the cash-rich league in 2013 for Rajasthan Franchise. The success he made with the ball made people forget his age.

The 51-years-old impressed many fans with his bowling as he was able to take 28 wickets in 33 matches with an economy of 7.75 in his cash-rich league career. Recently a cricket biopic on him was also released which gains a lot of appreciation around the country.

3. Manan Vohra

Vohra is a stylish top-order batsman from Punjab, he made his first-class debut for Punjab in 2011-12. He was also a member of the Under-19 team led by Unmukt Chand in 2012. Manan was first picked by the Punjab Franchise in 2013. But the highlight of his career came when he struck his career-best 95 against the Hyderabad Franchise.

The 29-year-old has scored 1073 runs at a strike rate of 131.17 in 55 matches. Meanwhile, he is retained by the Lucknow Franchise for the next edition of the Indian T20 League.

4. Rahul Tripathi

Tripathi has impressed many fans with his hard-hitting skills. He was first bought by the Pune Franchise in 2017. The debut season for the 31-year-old went really impressive as he scored 391 runs in 12 matches. He was also very impressive while playing for Kolkata and Hyderabad.

Tripathi has already made his way into the 15-man squad several times but is yet to make his debut in an international match for India. Tripathi will be seen playing for the Hyderabad Franchise again as he is retained by the franchise for Indian T20 League 2023.

5. Shreyas Gopal

Ramaswamy Shreyas Gopal plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket. An effective leg-spinner who took 20 wickets for Rajasthan Franchise in 14 matches, including a hat-trick against Bengaluru. If we talk about his Indian T20 League career, the 29-year-old has taken 49 wickets in 49 matches at an economy rate of 8.11. 

 Shreyas is released by Hyderabad ahead of the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league. His eyes will be on the upcoming auction on December 23.
