Australia needed 130 to win the series after Pakistan was bowled out for 115, and they did that easily with 8 wickets in hand. Batting first the Men in Green scored 313 runs after being 47/4.

Australia defeated Pakistan in the third and final Test and clean swept the Men in Green 3-0. The game was David Warner's last Test of his international career and the batter ended his cricketing career on a high note scoring a half-century in his final Test innings. Shan Masood's side's dream of winning a test match in Australia since 1995 remains unfulfilled as they have failed this time as well. 

Australia needed 130 to win the series after Pakistan was bowled out for 115 in the 2nd innings, and they did that easily with 8 wickets in hand. Batting first the Men in Green scored 313 runs after being 47/4. Mohammad Rizwan and Aamer Jamal scored half-centuries and helped Pakistan to score a good run on the board. The former was the highest scorer with 88 runs and the tailender scored 82.

Coming into bat the Aussies Warner and Usman Khawaja built a 70-run partnership for the first wicket. They were in a good position, at 289/6 but the Aussies lost their last four wickets for just 10 runs and bowled out for 299 runs, giving a 14-run lead to the visitors.

Australia's bowling demolish Pakistan

Pakistan coming into bat in the 3rd Day for their second innings did not look in fine touch. They lost their 6 wickets in the span of 9 runs they were 58/2 and at the end of Day 3 they were 68/7, in the over of Hazelwood they lost their last three wickets without scoring a single run. Some runs from Rizwan in the start of Day 4 helped them post a target of 130 runs. 

Usman Khawaja was back in the pavilion in the very first over. The 37-year-old opener and Marnus Labuschagne scored fiftes and the former was back scoring 57 runs and the latter was notout on 62 runs along with Steve Smith who was there on 4 runs. Warner got a standing ovation while going back to the pavilion for the one last time and the vistiors paid him respect by providing him a jersey signe by the team.
