The drama regarding Pakistan travelling to India for the World Cup does not seem to end as Pakistan Government and their cricketing board, PCB have now demanded written assurance from the Apex Cricket Council (ACC) regarding their team’s security if they travel to India for the upcoming edition of ODI World Cup in 2023.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif appointed the Bilawal Bhutto-led committee, which convened on Thursday to decide Pakistan's participation in the ODI World Cup in India, which begins on October 5. The committee is chaired by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the leader of the Pakistan People's Party and minister of foreign affairs. Other members of the group include Ahsan Mazari, the minister of sports, Maryam Aurangzeb, Asad Mahmood, Amin ul Haq, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and former diplomat Tariq Fatmi.

In the midst of the continuing excitement around the World Cup schedule, PCB officials reveal that the Indian Board has conveyed a possible date change for a few games involving the Pakistan team, including their eagerly awaited encounter with India.

According to the most recent sources, the match between India and Pakistan may now take place on October 14. Moreover, the Pakistani team's October 6th, Hyderabad, Netherlands match could possibly be rescheduled. Additionally, the October 12th Pakistan-Sri Lanka match may be rescheduled. The locations will not alter, as Indian Board Secretary Jay Shah has already said.

Some ODI World Cup 2023 matches to be rescheduled

According to sources close to the Indian Cricket Board and ACC, the final schedule will be revealed next week, and there may be changes to the dates of four to six matches. A high-profile Cricket Technical Committee (CTC) comprising of former Pakistan captains Misbah-ul-Haq (chairman), Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Mohammad Hafeez was established, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday.

The Misbah-led committee has been granted broad authority to oversee nearly all Pakistani cricket-related activities. Furthermore, this week is anticipated to see the start of ticket sales, as Paytm Insider is set to obtain the necessary license to enable online ticket sales.
