Former Indian opener and currently, a cricket expert, Wasim Jaffer recently picked his Indian squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 in India. Surprisingly, Jaffer picked the veteran batter Shikhar Dhawan in his World Cup squad. Apart from that, he also included the senior wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul in the squad.

Meanwhile, the squad of India picked by Jaffer drew a lot of contrasting reactions from cricket fans on Twitter. Fans registered their dissent after seeing a few names missing from the squad picked by the former opener. Fans were also shocked after not seeing the name of veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin considering the turning tracks of India.
