Star India batter and former captain Virat Kohli received an electrifying welcome as he came out to bat after Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s dismissal in the second Test of the four-match Test series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. This was his first Test appearance at the Arun Jaitley Stadium since 2017, and the fans at the stadium stood up to applaud Kohli as he walked his way into the middle.
The 34-year-old couldn’t provide anything to the scoreboard in the first Test in Nagpur as he got out after scoring only 12 runs. However, India won the match by an inning and 132 runs, thanks to Rohit’s century and Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round performance. Meanwhile, in Delhi, the fans were seen showing banners and cheering for the star batter as soon as he came out from the pavilion.

Brilliant bowling display by Nathan Lyon
Talking about the match, Indian openers Kl Rahul and Rohit came to bat on Day 2 but lost Rahul, as he continued his poor form and departed in the 18th over of the innings by Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon. Rohit was looking well before Lyon cleaned him up on the score of 32 runs.
Lyon bowled a little quicker delivery, Rohit went on the back foot to nudge and got caught with the bat coming across the line, the pad blocked the bat's way as well and the ball went past both and scattered the stumps. In the same over, Lyon got Cheteshwar Pujara for a duck, who is playing his 100th Test. Indian batter, Shreyas Iyer, who missed the first Test due to an injury, got a chance to play in the Delhi Test but fell to a sensational relflex catch at short-leg by Peter Handscomb.
4 wickets in the first session of Day 2 for Australia and 3 shocking reviews which they have lost. All four to Lyon who is bowling superbly. The Kangaroos did well to not leak runs and they are on top, however, Kohli and Jadeja steadied the ship and are looking good together.
