The much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off in October in India. The first match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, where the two finalists from the last edition, England and New Zealand will lock horns against each other. The venues for the knockout games and semi-final have been announced. The final is set to be hosted by Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
The Men in Blue’s opening game of the mega event will be against Australia at MA. Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on October 8. One of the biggest fixtures of the tournament will be played between India and Pakistan. Earlier, the game was set to be played on October 15, but now the game has been preponed to October 14 due to the auspicious festival of Navratri.
New Zealand Cricket decided to announce their squad for the upcoming mega event in a very unique manner. The family members of the 15 players selected to unveil the team traveling to India.

Kane Williamson recovers and make way for ODI World Cup 2023
The Blackcaps' second fixture of the ODI World Cup 2023 will be against the Netherlands on October 9, in Hyderabad, followed by Bangladesh on October 13 and Afghanistan on October 18, both in Chennai. They will lock horns against the Men in Blue on October 22 and against Australia on October 28. Both of the matches will be played in Dharamshala.
In the month of November, they will face South Africa on the 1st in Pune, Pakistan on the 4th in Bengaluru, and finally, Sri Lanka on November 9 in Bengaluru. While playing for Gujarat Titans Kane Williamson got injured during the 16th edition of the IPL. The Kiwi skipper is set to lead his national side for the upcoming tournament.
