India won the Asia Cup for the 8th time. They defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the final of the Asia Cup 2023. Sri Lankan batters struggled against the fiery spell of Mohammed Siraj. He was named the Player of the Match in the final after picking up 6 wickets.

After the win Team India was in a fun mood and wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli were engaged in some friendly banter as the Indian team celebrated their Asia Cup 2023 triumph. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Kishan was seen mimicking Kohli’s walking style after which Virat can be seen correcting Kishan.

The video was taken by one of the fans from the stands at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo as the Indian players were seen having some banter. The viral video features Ishan mimicking Kohli’s style of walking. While Tilak Varma, Shreyas Iyer, Virat himself, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya were the spectators. Kishan’s mimicry sparked a hilarious reaction for the former India captain who then received a hug from Gill who failed to control his laughter.

Mohammed Siraj bowled his career-best spell in the Asia Cup final. He picked up 6 for 21 in the final. Restricting Sri Lanka to a low score of 50 runs. The pacer entered the frame as Kishan then copied Kohli’s hop-and-run style when he was rested during their last Super 4 match against Bangladesh. The wicketkeeper batter again copied Virat’s walk as the other players enjoyed the light moments after their Asia Cup 2023 triumph.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. The co-hosts recorded their lowest-ever total in the Asia Cup. As Kusal Mendis top scorer for the champions of the 2022 edition smashed 17 runs. Siraj singlehandedly demolished Sri Lanka in the blink of an eye. Hardik Pandya also picked up three wickets while Jasprit Bumrah also picked up one.
