WATCH: John Cena meets The Rock in backstage in WWE Friday night Smackdown event

The Rock who returned to WWE Smackdown after 4 years, met John Cena in backstage and hugged his past rival.

The recent WWE Friday Night Smackdown event was special for many reasons. The biggest of them all was the return of The Rock to the arena after 4 long years. The fans went crazy to the comeback of their champ. The Rocky made his return to the ring with a little feud against Austin Theory. As Pat MacAfee introduced The Rock to the WWE universe, the crowd went crazy. 

There was madness all around. The fans did not expect a comeback of Rocky. Hence, the comeback Seemed a lot more special. The fans welcomed their champ with huge cheers and were responsible for an amazing pop. The Rock was happy to be back in the ring. The legend took on Austin Theory with his mic skills and later delivered his famous people’s elbow to Theory. 

Like The Rock, there is another legend who recently returned to the WWE universe. John Cena returned to Smackdown a few weeks back to a thunderous cheer from the crowd. After the event, Cena went on to host the Payback event and took part as a special guest in the match between L A Knight and The Miz. Cena was the main attraction in the WWE Superstar spectacle in Hyderabad.

On his return to Smackdown, Cena was confronted by Jimmy Uso. The two seem to have a little feud against each other for now. Cena gave a mic drop moment by saying “Wrong Uso quit”, which has led to a storyline between the two. It looks like Cena will team up with AJ Styles to take on the bloodline soon. It was the other highlight of the WWE Friday night smackdown.  

Before the feud between Cena and Jimmy, The Rock met John Cena backstage. In the viral video, The Rock was seen saying “I can see you trying to smile” after smiling himself. Cena acknowledged and replied “Yes, I am,” which created a wholesome moment on the screen. The two hugged each other later to huge cheers from the crowd.
