On Wednesday, MS Dhoni, the former India captain, participated in Ganesh Chaturthi festivities in Mumbai shortly after returning to India from a vacation in the United States. While in the US, he was seen attending the US Open quarterfinal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev at Arthur Ashe Stadium, and a video of him playing golf with former US President Donald Trump became widely circulated.
Upon his return to India, MS Dhoni arrived just in time to join in the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai. A fan captured the moment and shared a video of Dhoni offering flowers to a Ganesh idol during the festivities.
MS Dhoni's most recent appearance on the cricket field was in May during the IPL final between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT), which lasted for two days. He led CSK to victory, securing his team's fifth IPL trophy.

Rohit Sharma is what is he because of MS Dhoni: Gautam Gambhir
The former Indian opener, Gautam Gambhir has acknowledged Dhoni's pivotal role in nurturing Rohit Sharma during his early years in international cricket. Rohit Sharma, who recently achieved the milestone of becoming the second-fastest Indian batsman to reach 10,000 runs in ODI cricket during the Asia Cup, owes much of his success to Dhoni's unwavering support.
Despite facing numerous setbacks, Dhoni consistently believed in Rohit's potential. In 2013, during a transitional phase, Dhoni's strategic decision to promote Rohit Sharma to the opening position proved to be a brilliant move that further solidified Rohit's career. At the time of interaction with Star Sports, the two-time World Cup winner player said that Dhoni backed Rohit continuously in his initial struggling phases.
"Scoring 10,000 runs was not easy for him. Saw many ups and downs. Having seen that phase, Rohit, as a captain, will back youngsters who go through a difficult period. Rohit Sharma is Rohit Sharma today because of MS Dhoni. MS backed him continuously in his initial struggling phase. If he wants to leave a legacy behind, not in terms of runs but as a captain, a lot will depend on how he backs the young players. It will be interesting to see how he grooms the upcoming players,” Gambhir said on Star Sports.
