Former India captain, MS Dhoni was caught watching the Chandrayaan 3 successful soft landing on the Moon on Wednesday. In a historic moment, India conquered the moon on Wednesday, August 23, the entire nation erupted in joy. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was lauded by millions across the globe.

In the video footage, Dhoni can be seen standing alongside others watching the historic moment on a television screen and applauding subtly by tapping his hand on his thigh. The others standing around him are also seen cheering and clapping to mark the historic occasion for the country.

Here's the video:

Dhoni to comeback for IPL

Earlier on the day, Dhoni’s daughter Ziva was seen clapping, cheering, and jumping in joy in a video while watching the Chandrayaan 3’s landing on the moon. Dhoni, who guided Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to a record fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) triumph earlier this year, told fans in Yellow that he will respect their emotions and play another IPL.

Despite his knee problems, he, who underwent successful surgery in Mumbai earlier this year, has stated that he will do his best to return to the IPL for another season. He is likely to lead the CSK for the final time next year. Ahead of the 2023 Asia Cup, former India international Sanjay Manjrekar expressed that he hopes that India would take inspiration from the World Cup winner's philosophies in big, knockout matches in 2023.

He said, "For India, in the ICC events, it’s not about getting through to semis," Manjrekar said on Star Sports/ESPN Cricinfo’s ‘Selection Day Live’ program. "India’s problem has been the big night. I just hope and pray, with the kind of talent that they have, that they just play like Mahendra Singh Dhoni used to play a semi-final or a World Cup final like it was any other game. That’s the only challenge for India considering their record in the big tournaments."

The Indian Cricket team is currently in Ireland for a three-match T20I series. India already won the series before the final match. The last match was washed out without a ball being bowled India won the series 2-0. But the visuals of Indian cricketers celebrating India's Moon landing was a heartwarming one.
