Team India is set to host Australia for a four-match Test series starting on February 9. India, under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, have started their practice sessions in Nagpur. The Indian team will look to book their place in the Test Championship final, which can be sealed if they win the series. On the other hand, Australia have been unable to win a Test series in India since 2004.

This time, the Aussies will be hoping to win the series with the firepower of the likes of Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, who are in great form. Meanwhile, a clip of Australian premium spinner Nathan Lyon surfaced on the internet. In the video, Lyon is seen practising with a tennis racquet during their training camp in Bengaluru before the first Test.

You must understand that Lyon will be under a lot of pressure: Dinesh Karthik

The Aussies last played Test cricket in India in February 2017 and beat the hosts by 333 runs in the first Test in Pune, but lost the series 2-1. The biggest challenge for the Australian team is to defeat the Indian team at their home ground in the Test series. Lyon will be a very important player for the Australian team as he has performed really in overseas conditions. Indian Cricketer Dinesh Karthik talked about the same and said that the off-spin particularly will turn out to be a problem for Indian batters.

“Our Achilles heel has not been spin bowling but off-spin bowling interestingly, they have a world-class off-spinner in Lyon. You also must understand that he will be under a lot of pressure knowing that he will be the key bowler for Australia to steer the ship in which direction it needs to go. One bad session from his part could mean the Test match is moving in a direction against Australia and that’s a lot of pressure to handle.” Karthik said on Cricbuzz.
