This is the IPL playoff week with eight teams still in the fray. The game on Tuesday between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians is like a virtual knock out game. Whoever wins here will get a step closer to confirming a playoff berth in IPL 2023. It has been a very tight season as the home and away format made a comeback after three years Also, no team has been able to get on a consistent run due to the different nature of the pitches in India.

Ahead of the game against LSG, Nehal Wadhera was spotted at the Mumbai Airport wearing batting pads. This strange outfit worn by Wadhera garnered a lot of attention. Nehal had to put his pads over his trousers.

This was a punishment given to him by MI as he was late for the batters' meeting. MI shared the video on social media and wrote,  "#MumbaiIndians youngster #NehalWadhera turned all heads at Mumbai airport with his punishment #OOTD. He was captured with his pads on instead of the traditional jumpsuit. According to our sources, #Nehal regrets being late for batters meeting.".

Lucknow Super Giants beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last encounter in IPL 2023

MI did not have the best of starts in IPL 2023.  They were also hit by injuries to Jhye Richardson and Jasprit Bumrah. Their amazing middle order, consisting of Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis and Prerak Mankad ensured that the SRH bowlers were shredded to pieces. Mankad played a stellar knock of 64 off 45 balls with seven fours and two sixes.

Stonis brought his side back into the game with a quickfire 40 off 25 balls with two fours and three sixes. Pooran made a cracking 44 off 13 balls with three fours and four sixes. This meant that LSG beat SRH by 7 wickets.
