On Thursday, the first One Day International was played between Australia and England at the Adelaide Oval. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first.  England, while batting first, were put under pressure straight away and lost four quick wickets for just 66 runs in the first 14 overs. But with Dawid Malan still on the crease, the English side hoped to make a comeback, which they eventually did on the back of the southpaw’s valiant century.

With his well-made 134, Malan pushed England’s total to 287 at the end of the first innings.  Adam Zampa stood up for Australia with his three-for while their skipper Pat Cummins picked as many wickets as well. While there were many moments to take away from Australia’s chase, David Warner’s interaction with a young fan caught the eye.

During the 46th over of Australia’s innings, a fan showed a placard in which it was written that “David Warner can I have ur shirt?”. In reply, the opening batter showed a placard which had written “Get one off Marnus''.
