India star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), in Bengaluru. He is making a speedy recovery from the injuries he suffered during a horrific car accident in December 2022. The left-handed batter has always kept updated his fans about his recovery.

Recently in a JSW event, he was seen batting in an exhibition match organised by JSW on India’s Independence Day. The southpaw then visited India's preparatory camp at Alur, before team India travelled to Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup. Another video of Pant has gone viral on the internet where he can be seen doing some workout drills with his trainer at the NCA.

Here's the video

Pant has commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets

The Indian Cricket Board previously stated, "He (Pant) has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets." "He is currently following a fitness program designed for him which includes strength, flexibility and running."

He survived a massive car accident on December 30, 2022, when his car crashed with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The youngster suffered multiple injuries in the car crash and later underwent surgery on his knee. The talented batter has made significant strides in his rehabilitation in Bengaluru, making rapid progress despite the seriousness of his injury.

During a discussion on Jio Cinema, Ishant Sharma said, "I feel we might not see Rishabh Pant in the next IPL as well because it is not a small injury. It was a very serious accident. He has just started batting and wicketkeeping and to run and turn after that, there are a lot of things, which is not easy for a wicketkeeper and a batter."

"The good thing is that he didn't have a second surgery. If he had undergone a second surgery, he would have been out for even longer. He has had one surgery now but I don't think he will be fit for the World Cup for sure. Hopefully, if he gets fit for the IPL, it will be great."

Pant is expected to return for the 2024 England series.
