Cricket is one of the vast played sports in the world. And it is not only about batters and bowlers, but something more than that. Fielding has always been a vital part of cricket. Just like batters and bowlers, fielders have got a huge role to play on the field. Fielders are the ones who have resisted the opposition to score a high run rate.

On Thursday, during the Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League 2022 11th match, Pakistan's well-known allrounder, and good fielder, currently playing in the BBL for Hobart Hurricanes, Shadab Khan dropped an easy catch on his own bowling, on the 4th ball of the 5th over.

Asif Ali Fiery knock went in vain

The Hurricanes have fallen just short at the SCG after a “comedy of errors” left them with too much to do late in the six-run loss to the Sydney Sixers. Despite some thrilling late heroics from Asif Ali (41 off 14), where he could have brought the win scenario to 10 from 4 in the final over after a controversial missed no-ball call. However, the Sixers recorded their first win of this BBL campaign.

After winning the toss, Sixers opted to bat first. Earlier the match was reduced to 14 overs each because of rain. Openers Kurtis Patterson and Josh Philippe provided a brilliant start to the inning. Both stitched a 68-run opening stand in just 6.4 overs. The sixers' middle order couldn’t provide anything much to the scoreboard as their 3 batters from the middle were dismissed without scoring a single run. However, with the help of Hayden Kerr's fiery knock at the end, Sixers achieved a fighting total of 137 runs.

Chasing the target of 138 runs, Hurricanes couldn’t utilize the powerplay and lost 2 wickets under it. Every batter from the top order got a good start initially but none of them could help the team to chase the target. Ali tried brilliantly as he scored 41 runs off just 13 deliveries including 4 fours and 3 sixes.
