St. Kitts And Nevis Patriots batters in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023, Dominic Drakes and Corbin Bosch, scored 34 runs in the last over of the innings but still ended on the losing side as Barbados Royals chased down the target of 198 runs with six wickets and nine balls remaining. Bosch smashed unbeaten 38 runs in 12 balls, and along with him, Drakes remained not out on 20 on 14 balls.
The Patriots batters demonstrated impressive big-hitting skills as they smashed four sixes and one boundary in the last over of his first innings. Anyway, the last-over heroics were not enough for the Nevis, as the Royals chased down the target by hitting a boundary. At the start of the play, Nevis Patriots was asked to bat as Barbados skipper Rovman Powell won the toss, at one stage they were 147/6 in the 18th over of another game and just before the mammoth last over, the 19th over of the innings went for 16 runs as Drakes and Bosch went into attack Obec McCoy, while the 34 runs over was bolwed by Nyeen Young.

Speaking of the 20 over of the first innings of the game, the West Indies bowler Young began the first ball of the 20th over with a wide, while the very next ball which was the first legal delivery of the over was smashed for the six over mid-wicket, the next delivery was no-ball as per the waist height rule and then the free hit delivery was smashed by Bosch for the boundary down the ground. Then the third delivery of the over was smashed for the half dozen runs over the mid-wicket.
Interestingly the fourth ball of the over went for no runs as the Bosch attempted the uppercut but couldn’t connect the ball. The fifth ball was hit for the six as it was sweet-timed over the midwicket again. The last ball of the over took three balls to be over as the first ball went for the wide, then the succeeding ball was a no-ball and went for the six, then the final legitimate ball went for one run as the perfect yorker was bowled by Young.
