In the 24th game of the ongoing CPL 2023, Trinbago Knight Riders played hosts to St Lucia Kings. During the reverse fixture between both teams in St Lucia, TKR lost the game which they might have won. Meanwhile, in this game, former Knight Riders player Colin Munro was in action in different colors for the first time in his CPL career.

Meanwhile, in this game, the home team won the toss and elected to bowl first. Jayden Seales, who has struggled with the ball this year, took the wicket of Johnson Charles in the fourth over. However, Munro and Roston Chase put together 76 runs for the second wicket. The latter scored a run-a-ball 32 runs before getting out to Waqar Salamkheil.

The likes of Munro (71*) and Sean Williams (34*) took the team to 167/3 at the end of the innings. The likes of Seales, Sunil Narine, and Salamkheil took one wicket each for the Red Army. In reply, the four-time winners, TKR had a poor start as Martin Guptill's (16) poor run after his maiden hundred continued. On the other hand, Nicholas Pooran (15) didn't last long either.

At 45/2, the likes of Mark Deyal (former St Lucia Kings player traded to TKR for Khary Pierre) and Lorcan Tucker put together 87 runs. The former scored 57 off 45 balls before his innings ended due to Williams' brilliance at the boundary line. In the 17th over, Deyal took a chance against Alzarri Joseph but failed to clear the boundary. However, Williams lost a bit of a balance at the boundary.

However, the Zimbabwe international managed to keep the ball in play to send Deyal back to the pavilion.
