WATCH: Virat Kohli heaps praise on his wife Anushka Sharma during Amaze's meet and greet in Bengaluru

The former India skipper Virat Kohli has called his wife Anushka Sharma a role model in his life. Kohli has often heap praised the Bollywood actress for adding a different perspective to his life and making him a totally different person. He was an atheist before marrying Anushka.

The 34-year-old has been known for his aggressive approach on and off the field. But since marrying her he has become a lot calm and cool. He recently was in the preparatory camp in Bengaluru and visited Atria University where he was greeted by the fans and was seen taking selfies with the faculties and students.

Kohli recently visited Amaze's meet & greet event in Bangalore. He was asked who is his role model and he replied saying, "Anushka Sharma is my role model. She gives me a very true & honest picture of who I am, where I stand & how things are. She leads her life with a lot of dignity. Anushka has the strength to do the things right way and stand by it."

Team India reached Colombo on Wednesday to take part in the Asia Cup 2023 campaign opener against Pakistan on September 2. Virat Kohli and allrounder Hardik Pandya were spotted having a conversation post reaching Colombo.

Pakistan, India, and Nepal have been placed in Group A while Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka are in Group B. The tournament will be played first time in a hybrid model with Pakistan hosting four matches across two venues and Sri Lanka hosting the remaining games. After the six group-stage matches, the Super Fours matches will start on September 6.

Virat is gearing up for a face-off with Pakistan. He won the Man of the Match award when India clashed with Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in Australia. In Asia Cup, he has scored 613 runs in 10 innings at an average of 61.3 and a high score of 183. This year the former India captain has made 787 runs in 15 ODI matches in which he has made 3 centuries.
