Watch: Wayne Parnell imitates Cristiano Ronaldo’s 'peace of mind' celebration after getting two back-to-back wickets in SA20, video goes viral

South African pacer Wayne Parnell brought out Cristiano Ronaldo's two different goal celebrations during the 6^th match of the South Africa 20 League between Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape in SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Parnell got off to a flyer as he sent Sarel Erwee packing for eight off five deliveries before dismissing Jordan Cox for a golden duck to leave the Sunrisers reeling at 15-2. Relieved after taking two back-to-back wickets in the 2nd over, Parnell gave a noteworthy tribute to football icon Ronaldo by imitating his goal celebration. Parnell's special gesture became an instant hit on social media.

Talking about the match, the decision of bowling first proved right for the Sunrisers as they dismissed the first Pretoria’s batter on the score of just 13 runs. But later, the Capitals were nicely set up by Will Jacks, who made a 46-ball 92 and added 111 runs for the third wicket with Thenuis de Bruyn. At 158 for 2 in the 14th over, they looked good for a massive total.

A brilliant all-round performance by the Capitals

The Sunrisers were excellent in the death overs. They came back into the game when they took four quick wickets. But the outstanding partnership between Jacks and de Bruyn (42 off 23) took the game away from them as the Capitals ended up scoring a total of 216 runs after losing 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Chasing 216 was always a tough ask and the Sunrisers lost two early wickets. Aiden Markram tried to repair the damage, but his dismissal and followed by that of Tristan Stubbs ended their hopes of victory. The skipper led from the front himself. Parnell picked up 2 wickets after conceding only 20 runs in the 3 overs he bowled.

This was a comfortable win for the capitals and they've completed the double over the Sunrisers. The Capitals look like a well-oiled machine and will march ahead with confidence. On the other hand, the Sunrisers will need to go back to the drawing room and come out with fresh plans.
