India's last group match of the Women's 20-20 World Cup 2023 is against Ireland. This match is going to be do-or-die for Team India. If they win here, India will easily make it to the semi-finals of the tournament. At the same time, Team India's difficulty will increase if they lose and they will need the support of some luck to reach the semi-finals.

For Ireland, this match is just a fight for honour as they already lost their opening three matches and are out of the semi-final race. However, there will be no pressure on Ireland and the team would like to end their World Cup campaign with a win against India. Here, will look at three Irish players to watch out for.

Gaby Lewis

Ireland's opening batter Gaby Lewis has the ability to provide a great start to the team as she scored 36 runs in Ireland’s first match of the tournament against England. However, that was a pretty slow innings as those runs came off 37 balls, which included 5 fours.

On the other hand, Lewis couldn’t do anything in the second match against Pakistan. She scored only 10 runs off 15 deliveries, with only 1 four. However, her records in the shortest format are pretty decent as she has scored 1525 runs in the 67 innings she has played so far.

Laura Delany

Ireland captain Laura Delany is one of the best all-rounders in the world as she has scored 966 runs in 73 T20I innings and has taken 57 wickets in 88 matches at an economy rate of 22.57. She can be a responsible batter in the middle and also has the ability to break crucial partnerships.

However, she only bowled 1 over against England and conceded only 7 runs, while scoring 12 runs with the bat. She bowled 3 overs against Pakistan and picked up a wicket, while conceding only 20 runs, but couldn’t perform with the bat.

Cara Murray

Irish leg-spinner Cara Murray performed exceptionally well against England as she picked up 3 wickets and conceded only 15 runs in 3 overs. She even dismissed the experienced batters Heather Knight and Amy Jones in the same over.

Murray has played 29 T20I matches in her career so far and picked up 20 wickets at an economy rate of 7.08. The 22-year-old will look to get some breakthroughs in middle overs against India.
