In the second last of the first innings of the ongoing Women's Premier League 2024 (WPL 2024) between RCB and UP Warriors, Ellyse Perry smacked the glasses of a car. This car is a reward for the best player in the tournament. It was standing at what was over the wide mid-on boundary for the right-hander. Meanwhile, the Australia international unintentionally managed to hit a six.

Meanwhile, Perry came out to bat after Sabbineni Meghana got out in the last over of the powerplay. She scored 28 off 21 balls and the team reached 51 in 5.2 overs before this happened. On the other hand, skipper Smriti Mandhana managed to keep her form going.

Ellyse Perry and Smriti Mandhana helped the team post a winning total

The duo put together 95 runs for the second wicket in just 9.4 overs. The skipper scored 80 off 50 balls including 10 fours and five sixes. On the other hand, the Australia player remained unbeaten at 58 off 37 balls including four fours and as many sixes while Richa Ghosh (21*) scored an unbeaten cameo.

In reply, the Yellow Brigade had a great start as they scored 46/0 in just four overs. However, with the wicket of Kiran Navgire, the team wasn't able to keep themselves in the chase. Only their skipper Alyssa Healy (55) kept the chase in the team's hands momentarily. However, she failed to get an able partner at the other end and was reduced to 89/4.

With the wicket of Healy by Ekta Bisht, the home team side was pretty much in the game for the win. Despite Deepti Sharma (33) and Poonam Khemnar (31) trying their best, the team ended up losing the game by 23 runs. With this game, the tournament is now shifted from Bengaluru to Delhi and it will conclude in the national capital.
