Sanju Samson, the wicketkeeper for Rajasthan Royals, is prepared to make a comeback during India's West Indies tour. The RR captain, who missed the T20I matches against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, is probably going to be picked for the ODI and T20I teams for the Caribbean tour. Samson is prepared to receive ample opportunities in the absence of some of the team's veteran players despite frequently being in and out of the starting lineup and receiving little continuous playing time.
Samson last participated in a T20I match against Sri Lanka before suffering a hamstring injury. After that, the RR player participated in the IPL but had a poor bat performance, scoring only 360 runs in 13 innings. The wicketkeeper hitter will be eager to play and make use of his opportunities against West Indies.
Hardik Pandya will likely lead the team in white-ball games
Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan will have plenty of opportunities now that Rishabh Pant will not be playing for the side at least through the ODI World Cup. The RR wicketkeeper will probably be considered for the ODI team in addition to T20Is. Samson might participate in the 50-over format as a wicketkeeper hitter because KL Rahul is injured.
Samson is expected to be given a longer leash in the ODI and T20 teams since Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami, and Siraj are on rest or injured.
The RR captain has participated in 11 ODIs and scored 330 runs, while he has participated in 17 T20Is and scored 301 runs. Soon, the team for India's visit to the West Indies will be revealed. Virat Kohli, Shami, and Rohit Sharma are set to play for the Test team, while Hardik Pandya will likely be the team's captain for the white-ball series.
