Everyone remembers the announcement of MS Dhoni's retirement on his official Instagram account which caught everyone in the cricket world off guard on Saturday. Minutes later, Suresh Raina followed suit. Soon after the pair made their significant announcement, responses from the cricketing community began pouring in wishing both the great a happy retirement.

Raina and Dhoni’s friendship is no hidden news as it is world known the amount of admiration that former India left batter has for Dhoni is certainly unexplainable. Recently, the former all-rounder of the Indian Men's Cricket Team has launched his newest culinary endeavour: an Indian restaurant in Amsterdam, which is the capital city of the Netherlands.

In announcing the opening of Raina Indian Restaurant in Amsterdam, the former cricket player wrote about this on his Twitter "I am absolutely ecstatic to introduce Raina Indian Restaurant, where my passion for food and cooking takes centre stage!".

Soon after the launch of the hotel, there has been an image which is brought to light showing that the restaurant also has the Chennai Super Kings Jersey of the former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni. Here is how fans are reacting to this tale of friendship between the two legendary cricketers.

The star India all-rounder was among the players who became the first Indian batter to score a century in all three formats of the game. Raina won the 2011 Cricket World Cup and the 2013  Champions Trophy while playing for India. When Raina scored 101 runs against South Africa at the 2010 Tournament, he became the first Indian to do so in the history of the  Men's T20 World Cup.

Raina declared his retirement from all international cricket competitions on August 15, 2020. For personal reasons, he opted out of the 2020 Indian Premier League. He declared his retirement from all forms of cricket, including the IPL and domestic cricket, on September 6, 2022. Raina was known as Mr. IPL, due to his impeccable IPL record. In the 205 innings that the left-hand batter played in the tournament, he managed to score 5528 runs at a strike rate of 136.73.
