MS Dhoni had a funny incident with Deepak Chahar as he refused to sign an autogrpph for him but finally relented in the end.

MS Dhoni weaved his magic yet again as he led Chennai Super Kings in his 10th IPL final. CSK won their fifth title under him on Tuesday. CSK are one of the most successful franchises in the IPL. They have made it to the final 11 times. The combination of Chennai and Jharkhand worked together once again to script history. It remains to be seen whether MS Dhoni will don the yellow jersey once again for CSK.

There was a funny incident that happened after the match. When Deepak Chahar went to MS Dhoni to ask for his autograph. The CSK skipper was visibly angry and denied the autograph at first. Then he relented and gave it to Chahar. MS Dhoni was still very cross with Chahar because he dropped the all-important catch of Shubman Gill and was very lousy on the field.

Chahar has not had the best of seasons for CSK. The right armer had a hamstring injury and had to miss a substantial part of IPL 2023. Chahar had picked up 13 wickets in 10 matches. The 30-year-old had an economy rate of 8.73 and an average of 22.84. In the final Chahar also put down another tough chance of his own bowling against Wriddhiman Saha.

The right-armer did not have a good game with the ball as he picked up 1-38 off his four overs. GT flexed their batting muscles and put up a score of 214 in their 20 overs. In a rain curtailed game, that was reduced to a 15-over contest, CSK had a revised target of 175 under the Duckworth Lewis Method. The MS Dhoni led side came out punching and put together short and useful cameos and pursuit of a still total.

GT did well with the ball as they struck back with crucial wickets at the back end. But that is where the batting depth of CSK came into the fore. Ravindra Jadeja showed why his is one of the best out there. After a tumultuous time with CSK in 2022, he led them to glory when it mattered the most in 2023 in the grand finale at Ahmedabad.
