Ahead of the upcoming Sri Lanka tour which is scheduled to begin on July 16 in Galle, the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam revealed his new appearance by shaving his head clean. Azam posted a video on social media where the skipper showcased his new look along with a mischievous smile and then again covered his head with a black cap.

The 28-year-old Pakistan player took much-needed time off from the cricketing action. Since the end of May, Azam was seen taking a break from cricket as he was busy on a Harvard tour in the US as well as then on Hajj.  The star Pakistan batter was last seen in action during a New Zealand tour to Pakistan. The series proved to be a good one for the right-hand batter as scored a whopping 276 runs in the five ODIs which were played on the tour with an astonishing average of 55.20 along with a delightful century to his name.

In that series, there were also five T20 matches which were played and in that series, Azam scored runs with a strike rate of 146.07 as well as scoring 130 runs with the highest score of 101 off 58 balls. This was the third occasion when the ace Pakistan batter crossed the milestone of 100 runs in T20 Internationals.

The Pakistan team won the ODI series 4-1 however the T20I series ended in a draw with a series reading 2-2. The Lahore-born batter will be seen next in action during the two-Test series in Sri Lanka which is set to be played from July 16. Azam will certainly look to continue his terrific form as Pakistan will be aiming to kickstart their campaign for the World Test Championship cycle (2023-25) on a positive note as this is one of three away series which the Pakistan team will be playing in this edition.
