In the 2nd ODI against South Africa, Australia registered a massive victory by 123 runs at Manguang Oval in Bloemfontein. Riding on the massive centuries of Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner, Australia posted 392/8 in 50 overs. In response, host South Africa failed to capitalise on the opportunity, falling 123 runs short of the target.
Earlier, after winning the toss, South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma opted to bowl first. His decision didn't go well with the team as Australian opener David Warner and Travis Head added 109 runs for the first wicket. Head, in his innings, scored 64 runs off 36 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes. Meanwhile, Warner made a blistering comeback to form by scoring the 46th century as the opener. He smashed 106 runs off 93 balls with the help of 12 fours and three sixes.
Soon, Australians felt a quake as Head and Mitchell Marsh were dismissed by Tabrez Shamsi on back-to-back deliveries. However, Warner, along with Marnus Labuschagne, added 151 runs for the third wicket. Labuschagne, in his innings, scored 124 runs off 99 balls with the help of 19 fours and a six. He also added 84 runs for the fourth wicket with Josh Inglis, who scored 50 runs off 37 balls. In the end, Australia posted a massive total of 392/8 in 50 overs.
South Africa failed to chase against the spin duo of visitors
In response, South Africa got off to a flying start as opener Quinton de Kock and skipper Temba Bavuma added 81 runs for the first wicket. De Kock, in his innings, scored 45 runs off 30 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. Meanwhile, Bavuma scored 46 runs off 40 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. However, despite small cameos from them, the team never looked in the game.
In the end, David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen also tried to rescue them but fell prey to the Aussie spin department. Klaasen, in his innings, scored 49 runs off 36 balls with the help of three sixes and three fours. Meanwhile, Miller, in his inning, scored 49 runs off 52 balls with the help of six boundaries. Their efforts fell short, as South Africa lost the game by 123 runs. For Australia, spinner Adam Zampa took four wickets.
Here is how fans reacted to Australia's convincing victory:
Clearly the favourites now with their current form! England fan here, we have great players but selectors have no idea of our strongest 11! Along with Australia, I would say India and Pak could win it!

That was a huge target to chase. South Africa is not looking ok before the big event. Their bowling is not even shadow of what it used to be.
