India are all set to clash against Australia in the first ODI at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, March 17. However, on one side the Indian team is busy preparing for the match. On the other hand, India’s captain Rohit Sharma is enjoying his brother-in-law's wedding with his wife. A video of Rohit has surfaced on social media, in which he was seen dancing.

Rohit is with his family after taking leave from the first match to attend his brother-in-law Kunal Sajdeh's wedding. The wedding celebrations started on Thursday, March 16, and are expected to continue on Friday as well. Photos and videos of the ‘Haldi’ ceremonies are getting viral on social media. In which the right-handed batter can be seen dancing on a Bollywood song. Fans came up with different reactions on the video.

Watch the video here:

Rohit recently led the Men in Blue to a four-match Test series win over Australia and took India to the final of the Test Championship which is scheduled to take place in June in the Oval. Rohit looked in great touch with the bat in the longest format and the team will surely miss his services in the 1st ODI.

Hardik Pandya set to lead India in the 1st ODI

Indian young sensation Shubman Gill will continue to open in ODI as he is in tremendous form in every format. On the other hand, left-handed wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan is likely to be his opening partner in absence of Rohit. Kishan hit a double century last year in an ODI match against Bangladesh but didn’t get much opportunity after it.

India’s star allrounder Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the first ODI against Australia. Hardik will be seen captaining the ODI team for the first time. Earlier, he captained the Indian team in the shortest format. Rohit is likely to continue as the captain of the ODI team till the 2023 50-over World Cup. But after him, Hardik is being considered the future captain of India as he has impressed many cricket veterans with his captaincy.
