The final of the second edition of the World Test Championship between India and Australia is in progression, with the latter holding the upper hand on Day 3. After being asked to bat first, Australia posted a massive score of 496 runs in the first innings and restricted India to 296 runs in reply. With a lead of 173 runs, Australia is in the driver's seat to clinch their maiden WTC title.
Meanwhile, as the game at The Oval continues, a photo of a fan girl of Shubman Gill posing with a placard requesting India's opening batter to marry her is going viral on social media. The young sensation has gained many fans across the country for his batting heroics this year, and this fan, who held a banner with the message "Marry me Shubman" and a love emoji, is one of them.

Can Gill do well in the second innings?
The Gujarat Titans' opener had a great season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, top scorer with nearly 900 runs. Prior to the IPL, Gill had performed well with Team India in all formats of the game. However, he failed to perform well for India in the first innings of the WTC final against Australia as he was dismissed for 13 runs.
Soon after India lost the wicket of captain Rohit Sharma, Gill too returned to the pavilion after being bowled by Scott Boland. Gill misread the line and left a quick ball outside off-stump that nipped back to the stumps in a flash. Fans on social media also could not keep calm as they brutally trolled the right-handed batter for getting out cheaply in the Ultimate Test.
India, however, scored 296 following a valiant effort from Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur. They will want to wrap up Australia's second innings as soon as possible to stay alive in the game. Fans are hoping that India's top order will find its rhythm in the second innings.
