England’s limited-over captain Jos Buttler joined the Rajasthan-based franchise ahead of the start of the upcoming 16th edition of the Indian T20 League on Wednesday. The franchise also posted a video of him on social media in which he asked about the whereabouts of his special friend ‘Yuzvendra Chahal’. The video clip didn’t take a lot of time to get viral on the internet.
After leaving the airport for the team hotel, Buttler could be heard saying in the video, ‘Where is Yuzi’, while he was sitting in a car.
These were the three words that came out before Butler’s mouth. It isn’t unknown that Buttler has a deep friendship with Yuzvendra Chahal. During the 2022 season, both the players spent a lot of time together and also made some reels together. Besides, Chahal’s wife was also seen in one of those videos.
Jos Buttler was the orange cap holder in 2022
The right-handed explosive opener is one of the key players of Rajasthan. Butler was seen in excellent rhythm in the 15th season and finished the cap donning the the orange cap. Last season, he played 17 matches, scoring 863 runs at an impressive average of 57.53. He smashed 4 centuries and became the highest run-scorer of the season.
Butler played an important role in taking Rajasthan to the finals of the tournament. However, they were defeated by the Gujarat-based franchise in the final. The franchise would want Buttler to replicate a similar performance this season as well and, hopefully, lift the title.
Rajasthan boast of the best batting line-up this season. Led by Sanju Samson, the franchise contains Buttler, Devdutt Paddikal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and many other batters who will trouble the opponents.
The former legendary Sri Lanka captain, Kumar Sangakarra will continue to play the role of head coach and director of Cricket for the franchise. Lasith Malinga will also continue to be the bowling coach for Rajasthan. The franchise won the inaugural season of the cash-rich league but are still looking to win their second title.
