India leggie Yuzvendra Chahal came out to bat in the last over of the first T20I against West Indies. However, the team management wanted debutant Mukesh Kumar to be in. Notably, the latter averages 12 with the bat in the shortest format of the game. On the other hand, Chahal averages 4.93 with the bat in the format.

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals player, Chahal came out to bat when the Men In Blue needed 10 off five balls. At that point, Kuldeep Yadav just got out after scoring three off nine balls. Meanwhile, the confusion between Kumar and Chahal led to social media and commentators' furor. Both parties were confused and unhappy regarding what happened at the boundary line.

Meanwhile, in the last two overs, the team needed 21 runs. They had the advantage of an extra fielder inside the 30-yard circle thanks to slow over-rate offenses. Despite this, the visitors lost the game by four runs even though Arshdeep Singh struck two fours. Apparently, the team didn't have enough firepower with the bat. In the last four spots of the playing, the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Chahal, Yadav, and Kumar were playing.

Apart from Singh working on his batting in County Cricket for Essex, the rest haven't worked on their batting outside of the nets. This led to India losing the game and trailing by 1-0 in the five-match series.

Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets in his first over

The former Royal Challengers Bangalore player is playing his first game for India after months. He last played before the IPL. As he isn't part of the Test squad, Chahal didn't play in the World Test Championship final and two Tests against the hosts. In ODIs, he didn't play a single game as well.

In his comeback game, he took two wickets in his first. He removed the likes of Kyle Mayers and Brandon King. Chahal bowled three overs and conceded 24 runs.
