The franchises have begun their preparations for the upcoming 16th edition of the Indian T20 League, starting 31st March. Meanwhile, Mumbai have received a massive boost ahead of the start of the season as Jofra Archer have joined the camp.

The England Cricket Board, recently, stated that Jofra Archer will playing the entire season of the league. Mumbai, earlier, suffered a major setback as India's star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the tournament due to a back injury.

Archer's fitness also increased the tension in the Mumbai camp. However, it is now confirmed that he will be available for the entire season and has also joined the team. In the absence of Bumrah, Archer would lead the franchise's pace bowling department. Archer was also part of the franchise last season but due to injury, he could not play a single match.

I’m just gonna give everything I’ve got: Jofra Archer

Jasprit Bumrah has been a vital cog in the Mumbai team for many years. The franchise will miss his services dearly this season. His absence is likely to affect the team's performance in the tournament. It remains to be seen how the team operates in his absence throughout the season.

Speaking about his injury worries, Archer said, “Obviously, sometimes you’ve still got that little feeling in the back of your mind that you’re still not ready yet, you know. But for me, I just put that behind me and whatever happens, happens. If you’re supposed to get injured again, then there’s nothing you can do about it. But til that time comes I’m just gonna give everything I’ve got. You’re back here again so, you know, you might as well just give it your all,” he was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.
