The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) once again proved why they are the most successful team in the history of the Indian Premier League as they have successfully qualified for IPL 2023 playoffs by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a must-win game by 6 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, May 21.

Meanwhile, a video is getting viral on social in which MI skipper Rohit Sharma forget to open the cap of a water bottle and tried drinking it, however, later, he realised that he hasn’t opened the bottle’s cap. Rohit has been seen forgetting things earlier as well and have were reminded of the same and given different reactions to the video.

Talking about the match, MI were given a monumental target of 201 runs. While chasing it, they lost the dangerous Ishan Kishan in the 3rd over and Rohit wasn't looking in great touch. But Cameron Green promoted tono. 3, came out all guns blazing. Captain Rohit too found his touch after the powerplay and it was carnage from both ends.

However, later, Mayank Dagar managed to break the 128-run stand by removing Rohit. But Suryakumar Yadav wasted no time to get going and then he gave the strike to Green who was able to hit the winning runs and bring up his century in the process. Meanwhile, Rohit talked about the match in the post-match presentation and also hoped from RCB to return the favours.

“We came with the mindset to win and not worry about what happens elsewhere. Just hoping for the best. I haven’t spoken to anyone. Even if we don’t go through it, we got ourselves to blame. If we do, boys get credit. Last year, we did a great favour to RCB. We hope the result there goes our way. We didn’t start well but fixed things along the way. If I have to look back, we lost crucial moments and games like against Punjab here and the last game vs LSG. We can’t look too much into that. Sometimes it doesn’t come along which is fair.”
