Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin delivered a terrific performance in the 2nd Test when India were in trouble. The duo showed everyone exactly how to play on a turning surface, negating the challenge with a fine mix of caution and aggression. The intent clearly surprised Bangladesh, who couldn't find an answer to the duo's counterpunch.

145 was never going to be a threatening score but Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Co. almost pulled it off for the hosts. India may have won this game but there are serious concerns to ponder about, especially the form of their senior men. Bangladesh will wonder how did they let this slip, having had India tottering at 74/7 not so long ago.

Brilliant comeback by the Indian side

Talking about the match, the Shakib Al Hasan-led team were restricted to 227 runs in the first innings, and with the help of Rishabh Pant’s tremendous knock of 93, India were bowled out for 314 runs in the second innings. Much to the delight of the Indian fans, the Bangladeshi team were soon bowled out for 231 runs in their second innings, setting a target of 145.

Indian bowlers displayed a brilliant show with the ball throughout the Test series. In the first match, Kuldeep Yadav took a fifer, however, he was given rest in the second match as Jaydev Unadkat made a comeback in the oldest format after 12 years and he didn’t take too much time to clinch his maiden Test wicket.

Chasing the target in the 4th innings, India had a really bad start as they lost their skipper KL Rahul for just 2 runs. At the end of Day 3, India were 45/4. On an early morning in Day 4, Indian batters again displayed a bad show as Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant got early. However, Iyer and Ashwin took responsibility on their shoulders and won the match for India by 3 wickets.
