Bayern Munich didn't have the best outings this season in Bundesliga. Recently they clashed against Leverkusen where they lost the match by 2-1. It might be one of their worst performances so far against Leverkusen. After the poor performance in the league, Bayern decided to part ways with Julian Nagelsmann, their head coach.

However, it is being heard that the reason behind the Bavarians' bad performance and Nagelsmann's dismissal is his girlfriend Lena Wurzenberger. She earlier worked as a reporter for the German newspaper Bild. However, she lost her job due to her relationship with Nagelsmann. Meanwhile, former Bayern Munich footballer Markus Babbel said that her relationship with Bayern's manager was the most talked about topic in the dressing room.

“I know that Nagelsmann’s relationship with a Bild reporter was a huge topic in the dressing room. It didn’t go down well at all that he was with her. His girlfriend was therefore a big problem for Bayern. There was a lack of trust because some players couldn’t communicate what they were thinking anymore. Because they were afraid that everything would end up in the newspaper,” the former defender was quoted as saying by Blick.

I know I won't find Nagelsmann when I return to Munich: Joao Cancelo

Bayern Munich's star footballer Thomas Muller talked about their performance against Leverkusen and said that they couldn't talk about the plan as the stadium was too loud. However, he also admitted that it was really an important match for them and they need to look for improvement.

“We made some defensive adjustments during the first half. It took us too long as a team to implement that. The stadium was very loud, we didn’t have a quiet moment to talk. Today was a very important game for us, we have to ask ourselves a few questions,” he was quoted as saying by Mirror.

Bayern's footballer Joao Cancelo revealed when he got to know about the news of Nagelmann's departure as he said, “I've only found out now. I know I won't find Nagelsmann when I return to Munich. He wanted me at Bayern, I'd like to thank him. As for Tuchel, he made me lose a Champions League final, so I hope he will win it for me this year!” Cancelo told Sport TV.
