Team India have achieved a historic feat by becoming the first Asian team to be the No.1 side in all formats of the game. This historic achievement lets India join an elite group alongside South Africa, making them only the second team in history to hold the top position in all formats at the same time.

This is a testament to the dominance of the Men in Blue in world cricket in recent years. They have replaced Pakistan from the No.1 ODI ranking with a win over the mighty Australia in the first ODI of the ongoing three-match series. They defeated the five-time World Champions by five wickets in Mohali on Friday.

With this, India now have 116 rating points compared to 115 for Pakistan. Australia, on the other hand, is ranked third on the list with 111 points. With the World Cup around the corner, this will be a huge boost for Rohit Sharma and Co. going into the mega event.

India top of the World

India are the world's best in T20I cricket and have been stable on the top of the table. With 264 rating points, the Indian team has firmly secured its position at the top of the Men's T20I Team Rankings. This shows their dominance and consistent performance in the shortest format of the game.

In recent years, they have faced criticism for their performance in the ODI format, losing two semi-finals in the 2015 and 2019 World Cups, respectively. But now they have replied to the critics by dethroning arch-rivals Pakistan to become the No.1 side in the 50-over format. This shows the potential of the team and is a warning bell for other World Cup participating teams.

In the longer format of the game as well, India have shown their dominance in recent years. They competed in two back-to-back finals of the World Test Championship (WTC) but lost both of them. However, they have shown their resilience over the years. With 118 rating points, India sits at the top of the Men's Test Team Rankings. Their consistency, especially in overseas conditions, has made them different from others.
