Mohammad Amir has been trolled all over the social media for his weird celebration in a 2023 Pakistan Super League match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars on Sunday. Karachi Kings fast bowler M Amir pulled off a weird gesture after dismissing Shai Hope which looked indecent to the naked eye.

Amir finished with the figures of 2-0-12-1, as Karachi defeated Lahore by 67 runs. However, the fans weren’t happy with the gesture of the Pakistani pacer. Earlier, he made headlines after throwing the ball towards Pakistan skipper Babar Azam in the previous clash.

Former Pakistani skipper Afridi said that he advised Amir to have a control over his aggression. The 30-year-old was scolded by his ex-captain after a heated moment with Babar Azam during the match against Peshawr Zalmi. However, it looks like Amir hasn't taken that advice seriously.

“Whenever a player doesn’t perform, or even if he does, I drop him a message for call him. Likewise, I messaged Amir yesterday. I talked to him respectfully, but I also scolded him. I told Amir, ‘what do you want?’ You have gained so much respect, you faced a blot on your reputation and from there, you made a return. You got a new life, in a way. What are you even trying to do?” Afridi said on Samaa TV.

“Ye koi tareeka hai? (Is this the way to play?) There are juniors around you, you are using bad words. There are fans who are disheartened to see that. Even we have used such words and, sometimes, the camera used to catch us. There are families, kids watching you on television. Aggression is fine, but keep it under control,” he further added.

Talking about the match, Karachi scored 185 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in theit 20 overs. James Vince scored 46 off 36 balls, including three fours and two sixes. He added 70 runs with Matthew Wade (36 off 24) for the first wicket. Skipper Imad Wasim remained unbeaten 35 off 19 balls scoring two fours and two sixes. Shaheen Afridi, Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf, and Liam Dawson shared wickets each.

Chasing a target of 186 , Lahore get off to a flying start with Mirza Baig (45 off 39) and Fakhar Zaman (15 off 12) adding 40 runs within five overs. After that the visitors started losing wickets at regular intervals. Thanks to Akif Javed's spell of 4 for 28 runs in 3.3 overs, Karachi bowled out Lahore for 118 runs in 17.3 overs
