Ishant Sharma, the experienced Indian bowler, praised Virat Kohli's rigid training and eating regimen. The most enjoyable aspect of the star batter's career, according to the Delhi cricketer, was watching Kohli go from a party animal to the team's fittest player.

Although Kohli is recognised to be among the most outstanding batters of his generation, several people had doubts about his dedication in 2012 because of his reputation as a "party animal."

Ishant opened up about Kohli's remarkable physical transformation in a video posted to Ranveer Allahbadia's YouTube channel. He said, “He has changed a lot. I have seen his party phase and his tattoo phase as well.”

The fast bowler recalled one instance during their U-19 days where Kohli got a double tonne after staying out all night partying. He said, “We were playing a U-19 match in Kolkata. He was batting overnight, yet partied all night and the next day he scored 250. I have seen that phase of Kohli as well.” The 34-year-old continued, “The best thing about him, according to me, is how he changed his physical aspect starting in 2012, after the World Cup. He was training, but because of his diet, his mental strength and cricket, in general, went to a different level.”

“If you have belief, you can do anything. He is so intense”: Ishant Sharma

Using his own social media accounts, Kohli frequently shares images and videos of his fitness regimen and workouts. He has frequently emphasised the significance of food and fitness for a sportsman to succeed during his interviews as well.

Ishant praised Kohli's optimistic outlook on cricket and claimed that the word "hope" was not present in his language because, for him, everything revolves around belief. He said, “Sachin paaji used to say hope is not a word, it’s a feeling. But if you speak to Virat Kohli, the word hope does not exist in his dictionary. His dictionary only has belief. If you have belief, you can do anything. He is so intense.”
