The Chennai Super Kings are one of the best franchises in the history of the Indian Premier League. They are the most successful team in the number of final appearances and joint most successful in the number of trophies. Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, the team defeated the Gujarat Titans in the finals this year to clinch their fifth title.

Meanwhile, star CSK allrounder Mooen Ali picked the all-time playing XI for the team. He chose young Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shane Watson to open the inning. In the middle order, Mooen selected Mr. IPL, Suresh Raina at number three, and Ambati Raydu at number 4. They are followed by Aussie legend Michael Hussey and skipper MS Dhoni.

In Mooen's playing XI, all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo retained their places. In the bowling department, Mooen went with Harbhajan Singh over Ravichandran Ashwin, Deepak Chahar, and Josh Hazelwood as pacers. This team left fans split as they found it inappropriate to add Ruturaj Gaikwad in place of Faf du Plessis and Harbhajan Singh instead of Ravichandran Ashwin.

Will Mooen take retirement from Test once again?

Recently, in an interview, Mooen Ali expressed that he is not thinking about future tours of England and is only focusing on the ongoing Ashes series. He said that after the series, he will sit down with Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes to discuss it. He said, "Not really, to be honest with you. I think for me, it’s about getting through these two games if I play these two games," said Mooen. "It’s not easy; I find Test cricket really hard. It is the hardest and best format out there, for sure."

However, he praised the environment in the dressing room and said that it should have been there five years ago. "But I’ve really enjoyed my time since I’ve come back, and it’s been a brilliant environment. I wish it was this five years ago." Notably in the ongoing Ashes series, Mooen Ali has been phenomenal with both bat and ball; he scored a brilliant half-century in the ongoing fourth Test.
